Free website speed & security check.

If your current site is slow, running on WordPress, or you're just not sure what's under the hood, we'll check it — free, no obligation. You'll get a plain-English report on what's actually slowing you down, what's a genuine security risk, and what a properly custom-built rebuild would look like.

  • A Lighthouse speed scan and a security header check
  • Plain-English breakdown of what's fixable vs. what needs a rebuild
  • Works for any platform — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or custom-coded
  • If a rebuild makes sense, your existing content and page addresses come with you, so nothing is thrown away.

Why this matters

Old WordPress installs and abandoned plugins are one of the most common ways small business sites get compromised — often without the owner ever knowing.

Slow load times quietly cost you ranking position and real customers — most site owners have no idea how much until it's measured properly.

A rebuild doesn't mean starting over: your existing pages and addresses can be carried across, with redirects set up so links keep working, to keep as much of your search visibility as possible.

What the check looks at.

Two things: how fast your site loads, and a handful of security settings your site sends to every visitor's browser.

Speed, on a phone and a computer

We run your address through Google's PageSpeed Insights tool, once for mobile and once for desktop. The report shows your score out of 100 and three measures Google uses:

  • LCP (largest contentful paint): how long the main content takes to appear.
  • CLS (cumulative layout shift): how much the page jumps around while it loads.
  • INP (interaction to next paint): how quickly the page responds when someone taps or clicks. If Google doesn't return INP, the report shows total blocking time instead.

Security: HTTPS and five headers

We check that your site loads over a valid HTTPS connection, then whether it sends these five security headers:

  • Strict-Transport-Security: tells browsers to always use HTTPS for your site.
  • Content-Security-Policy: limits which scripts and files a page may load, which reduces the damage if something gets injected.
  • X-Frame-Options: stops other websites from putting your site inside a frame on their page.
  • X-Content-Type-Options: stops browsers from guessing a file's type.
  • Referrer-Policy: controls how much of your page's address is shared when a visitor clicks a link out.

How the grade is worked out

Your overall grade combines mobile speed (60%) and security (40%). The security part is 20 points for HTTPS plus 16 points for each of the five headers. An overall score of 90 or more is an A, 75 or more a B, 60 or more a C, 40 or more a D, and anything lower an F. If one of the two checks can't be completed, the grade uses the other, so a missing check never drags it down.

Questions about the free check.

Is the check free?

Yes. It is free with no obligation. We use your email to send your report, and may follow up about it. See our Privacy Policy.

How long does it take?

About 15 to 30 seconds. The report appears on this page and we email you a copy.

Does it work for any website?

It works for any platform, including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and custom-coded sites, as long as the site is publicly reachable.

What is sent to Google?

Only the web address you enter goes to Google's PageSpeed Insights service. No personal information is sent to Google as part of the scan.

Is this a full security test?

No. It is an automated snapshot of your speed and a handful of security settings. It is not a full review, and it does not look for vulnerabilities in your site's code.

Do I have to talk to anyone afterwards?

No. The report lists what we would fix first. A free fix plan is optional, no call is needed, and you decide whether to send the request.
